This is a very nice 68 Pontiac GTO, 242 VIN done in a very nice Viper Blue, basecoat clearcoat, sanded and wheeled smooth, appears to retain all original body panels and floors, at time of restoration had new tinted windshield; all other glass is original factory softray tint in excellent condition, all window stainless is also original in excellent condition, new weather stripping and window felts, new side view mirrors, new door handles, original hide-away headlights and grills in very good condition, original endura nose in good condition, new wheel well moldings, new emblems, rocker moldings also appear to have been replaced, also at time of restoration had GTO Judge wing added, re-chromed rear bumper, original taillights in excellent condition.
Factory black bucket seat and console interior, original dash, nicely outfitted with AM/FM stereo, trio of gauges nicely mounted under dash, original deluxe wheel, at time of restoration had new dash pad, new headliner and sail panels, deluxe package shelf, front and rear seats have also been reupholstered – driver seat has some wear on the side lace, deluxe front and rear seat belts with shoulder straps, original center console with optional His & Her shifter, new carpet, GTO floor mats, new sill plates.
Under the hood the original 400 has been replaced with a mild built 455, factory 4 barrel intake and quadrajet carb, power steering, power brakes, heavy duty cooling system, this strong running 455 is backed up with a 400 turbo trans, factory exhaust manifolds into 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust with performance mufflers out the back and stainless tips, factory 10 bolt posi rear with 355 gear.
Rides on a set of original Rallye II’s with correct PMD center caps and black dot lug nuts, nicely out fitted with BF Goodrich Redline Radials.
This “COOL” GTO is ready to cruise and enjoy.
