This is an “Absolutely Gorgeous” 64 Impala done in a “Show Quality” Brilliant Red, basecoat clearcoat, sanded and wheeled smooth, slick as glass, at time of build had 4 inch cowl hood added, new tinted windshield and rubber; all other glass is factory original softray tint in excellent condition, retains all original stainless window moldings in excellent condition, upper door stainless is original in excellent condition, new weather stripping and window felts, new side view mirrors and door handles, at time of restoration had new hood molding, fender eyebrows, headlight bezels and grill, re-chromed front bumper, all new SS side trim, original deck lid and quarter trim, new taillights and bezels, new deck lid emblems, rear bumper has also been re-chromed.
Black and gray custom leather interior, dash has been refinished, new dash pad, original instrument cluster in very good condition, original dash trim in very good condition, nicely outfitted with AM/FM/CD stereo with remote hidden in glovebox, amp and kicker, nicely updated with IDIDIT tilt steering column, custom Billet Specialties steering wheel, pair of gauges nicely mounted under dash; as well as tach mounted to column, new headliner, sun visors and sail panels, custom leather front and rear door panels, original seats were also custom upholstered with black and gray 2 tone leather, updated with rear seat belts, original center console in very good condition, updated with Hurst shifter which works correctly with the 3 speed automatic trans, new carpet and sill plates, trunk has also been nicely upholstered to match.
Under the hood we have a mild built 454, aluminum intake, Holley dual feed 4 barrel carb with electric choke, MSD electronic ignition, chrome valve covers, K&N air filter, March serpentine pulley kit, updated with 100 amp 1 wire alternator, billet power steering pump and reservoir, heavy duty aluminum radiator with electric fan, nicely updated with front disc brakes, dual master cylinder, at time of restoration front suspension was completely gone through, updated with 1 inch front sway bar, set of factory late model headers into 2 1/2 inch dual Flowmaster exhaust out the back, this strong running 454 is backed up with a 350 turbo trans, factory limited slip rear with 331 gear.
Rides on set of new American Racing Torq Thrust wheels 15×7 up front with 215/70/15 and 15×8 out back with 235/70/15.
This gorgeous Impala is ready to show, cruise and enjoy. Although this appears to be an SS it is a clone.
