SOLD SOLD – 1968 Chevrolet Impala Convertible – #’s Match – 396 – 4 Speed

This is a very nice, clean 68 Impala convertible, #’s matching 396, 4 speed, that has had a recent frame off restoration, done in a “Show Quality” Matador Red, basecoat clearcoat, sanded and wheeled smooth, slick as glass, at time of restoration had new tinted windshield, new weather stripping and window felts, all original softray side glass in excellent condition, new white convertible top with glass rear window, all window and pillar stainless is original and has been re-polished to a show finish, new door handles, new side view mirrors, re-chromed original grill, re-chromed headlight bezels; as well as marker light bezels, lower grill is original in excellent condition, re-chromed front bumper; as well as bumper guards, original body side moldings in excellent condition, stainless wheel well moldings in excellent condition, new rocker spears, new side marker bezels, original rear bumper has been re-chromed; as well as bumper guards.

Factory parchment white interior, original dash in excellent condition, original dash pad in excellent condition, rare factory in dash tach and gauge package – showing 85,000 miles, factory power top with matching parade boot, optional 3 spoke wood wheel, new sun visors, new front and rear door panels, new arm rest, new front and rear seat covers and foam, deluxe seat belts, Hurst shifter, new carpet and deluxe floor mats.

Under the hood we have the original #’s match 396, 325 horse which has been completely rebuilt, correct quadrajet 4 barrel carb and breather, nicely updated with PerTronix electronic ignition, heavy duty Harrison radiator with correct shroud and 5 blade clutch fan, power steering, power brakes updated with disc brakes up front, drilled and slotted rotors, new fuel and brake lines, front suspension has been gone through at time of restoration, factory exhaust manifolds into 2 1/2 inch dual stainless exhaust out the back in stock location with factory type stainless mufflers, this strong running 396 is backed up with its original #’s match Muncie 4 speed trans, 12 bolt limited slip rear.
