This is a “Gorgeous” 66 Chevelle SS 396 that has had a recent restoration, done in a “Super Slick” Tuxedo Black base coat clear coat, sanded and wheeled smooth, new tinted windshield; all other glass is factory original in excellent condition, original window stainless in excellent condition, new weather stripping and window felts, new correct bow tie side view mirrors, original door handles in excellent condition, new SS hood louvers, original grill in excellent condition, hood moldings, fender eyebrows and valance moldings are all new, re-chromed front bumper, new wheel well moldings; as well as rocker moldings, new tail panel moldings; as well as tail light bezels, re-chromed rear bumper.
Factory red bucket seat console interior, dash has been reconditioned, new dash pad, new dash bezels, nicely updated with direct-fit AM/FM stereo and IPOD capability, trio of gauges nicely mounted under dash, factory SS wood wheel, new headliner and visors, new dome light lens, new front and rear door panels, front and rear seat covers were also replaced at time of restoration, updated with matching front and rear seat belts, original center console and shifter, new carpet and floor mats, new sill plates.
Under the hood the original motor has been replaced with a mild built 454, updated with electronic ignition, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb with electric choke, GM Performance aluminum valve covers, chrome breather with K&N filter, heavy duty aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, nicely updated with power front disc brakes, factory exhaust manifolds into 2 1/2 inch dual Flowmaster exhaust out the back in stock location, this strong running 454 is backed up with a 350 turbo trans, 10 bolt limited slip rear, new fuel tank and sending unit.
Rides on a set of New Vintage American Racing Torq Thrust wheels 15×8 and new Cooper Cobra 235/60/15’s all around.
Although is Chevelle appears to be a SS it is a clone.
