This is a “Super Slick” 66 Chevelle SS 396, 4 speed that came out of a personal collection, has had a recent frame off restoration, done in a “Show Quality” Regal Red base coat clear coat, sanded and wheeled smooth, slick as glass, straight as an arrow, new weather stripping and window felts, new tinted windshield, original factory tinted side glass in excellent condition, new tinted back glass, all window stainless is original and has been re-polished in excellent condition, new drip rail trim, new correct bow tie side view mirrors, new door handles, new SS hood louvers, all new grill, grill moldings and fender eye brows, new head light bezels, re-chromed front bumper, new emblems, new wheel well and rocker moldings, new tail lights and tail light bezels, rear tail panel moldings, re-chromed rear bumper.
Factory black bucket seat console interior, dash has been completely refinished, all new dash bezels, nicely out fitted with factory appearing AM/FM stereo with IPOD capability, custom kick panels with speakers and dash speaker, original SS steering wheel, nicely out fitted with era correct knee knocker tach and trio of gauges nicely mounted under dash, new dash pad, new headliner and sun visors, new deluxe package shelf, new front and rear door panels, arm rest and bases, new front and rear seat covers; as well as foam, factory deluxe front and rear seat belts, original 4 speed center console in excellent condition, updated with Hurst Competition Plus shifter and correct appearing shifter handle, new carpet and floor mats, new sill plates.
Under the hood we have a date correct 396 which has been professionally rebuilt, steel crank, forged pistons, hydraulic cam, heads have been reworked for NO-Lead fuel, aluminum intake, Holley dual feed 4 barrel carb, chrome valve covers and breather, nicely updated with electronic ignition, High-volume water pump, heavy duty radiator with correct shroud and fan, nicely updated with 1 wire 100 amp alternator, factory power steering, nicely updated with power front disc brakes, drilled and slotted rotors, new fuel and brake lines, front suspension has been completely rebuilt – new bushings, tie rods, ball joints, ect., this strong running 396 is backed with a M21 Muncie 4 speed, new clutch and pressure plate, factory exhaust manifolds into 2 1/2 inch dual Flowmaster exhaust out the back in stock location, rear suspension has also been completely gone through, 12 bolt posi rear with 331 gear, new fuel tank and sending unit.
